Perched atop the tower, the penthouse at Hall Arts Residences is the crown jewel of the project—a custom-built home that merges structural ingenuity with sculptural elegance. Designed and constructed with obsessive attention to detail, it’s a masterclass in high-rise craftsmanship, offering uninterrupted views of the Arts District through walls of glass and a seamless flow between architecture, art, and atmosphere.

A shell condition unit, HALL Group tasked Allgood/Pfannenstiel and Abeyta Architecture Studio with reimagining the space as something unique to the building—one that takes full advantage of the expansive views offered by the entire floor.
The structural columns, once considered an eyesore, were reinterpreted by Abeyta Architecture Studio as sentinels in the sky. At the perimeter, 12–14-foot pocketing doors—constructed onsite—serve as movable walls, allowing residents to flow freely through the space while remaining in constant connection with the cityscape.

A sculptural wall adds artful drama to a refined lounge nook.

Natural light becomes a defining element of the residence. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame uninterrupted panoramas, while the warm tones of wide-plank flooring ground the interiors with a sense of calm. Each space is designed for both intimacy and expansiveness: a dining area anchored by a sculptural wood table opens directly to sweeping views, while a series of carefully placed artworks and bespoke furnishings add subtle texture without competing with the skyline beyond.
At the heart of the residence, a piano lounge becomes a focal point where daylight and shadow continuously animate the walls. Instead of concealing the building’s structure, the design celebrates it—columns and wall planes stand as calm anchors within the transparent expanse of glass. In this balance, architecture, art, and furniture come together to form an environment that is both elevated and livable, grounded in material detail yet lifted high above the city.

An evening reflection where city and interior dissolve into one expansive view.
